Cavago partners with equestrian influencer Meg Elphick to create a highly popular travel vlog series

Cavago is excited to present a brand-new vlog series in partnership with well-loved equestrian influencer, Meg Elphick of Elphick Event Ponies.

With a combined following of over 530,000 followers across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and TikTok, Cavago is thrilled at the prospect of reaching new customers and spreading the brand message far and wide through this comprehensive YouTube series, which you can watch here

Cavago flew Meg, her manager Abi Penrose and film crew Events Through A Lens out to Lisbon, Portugal, so Meg could embark on the equestrian adventure of her life. Through the platform's vast array of Portuguese hosts, Cavago arranged a combination of thrilling, cultural and once-in-a-lifetime experiences across the three days of filming.

Day one consisted of an awe-inspiring gallop across a picturesque beach in Comporta, courtesy of Cavago host Cavalos Na Areia. "It was a real ticking off the bucket list moment," says Meg in her debrief at the end of the ride.

Next, the team headed back towards Lisbon to Morgado Lusitano - a beautiful equestrian establishment specialising in classical equitation, offering on-site tuition and accommodation for those seeking an educational and cultural retreat.

After receiving an exclusive tour of the site from manager Henrique Cruz dos Santos, Meg mounted up on one of Morgado's schoolmaster stallions and received an expert lesson in classical riding. She got to experience top-level movements, such as spanish walk, piaffe, passage and half-pass. "I couldn't dream of doing movements like that on any horse, but you come somewhere like this and they're just so beautifully trained," explains Meg. "It's just been amazing for someone like me to be able to feel some of these movements."

Day two brought Meg and the team to a picture-perfect wine hotel in Monteforte called Torre de Palma. Aside from offering delicious food, wine and luxury accommodation, there's also an on-site equestrian facility that allows guests the opportunity to embark on horseback tours of the vineyards and surrounding Roman ruins. After riding through the iconic Portuguese landscape with a knowledgeable guide, Meg and her team enjoyed a wine tasting and fine dining at the hotel.

"The Cavago website has made it really easy to plan what we want to go and do. There's just so much on offer," says Meg.

After a night's stay at the gorgeous Cascais Riding Club, Cavago set up a grand finale for the vlog series. Meg was welcomed to the Portuguese School of Equestrian Art, one of the most prestigious classical riding academies in the world.

During an exclusive tour of the establishment by master rider Francisco Bessa de Carvalho, Meg learnt about the rich history of the school and witnessed a live training session in the magnificent on-site arena. "I can't fully explain how special it is to see all of this heritage and the partnership between horse and rider," Meg says. "I'd highly recommend coming to watch them. It feels like a once in a lifetime opportunity."
