Cavago, the technology platform dedicated to connecting the global equestrian community, today announced Siobhan MacDermott as the company’s new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).
Siobhan brings decades of financial leadership experience to Cavago as well as an enormous passion for the equestrian world. By combining these two unique skill sets, she is poised to bring Cavago’s unique customer proposition to the critical US market as well as create the financial foundation to scale both Cavago’s B2C travel offering and its B2B solutions to digitize the equine industry worldwide.
Siobhan’s career to date has included serving as Vice Chair of Global Corporate and Investment Banking at Bank of America, advising on numerous M&A and IPO deals and guiding companies through transformative stages of their development. She has advised CEOs and boards across industries, steering them through complex mergers, acquisitions and public offerings. Throughout her career, Siobhan has lived and worked in over 10 countries, giving her a global perspective and an extensive network that she leverages to drive growth initiatives.
Siobhan’s equestrian journey has taken her across the world, from dressage training in Germany to summers galloping across Irish beaches. She most recently completed two-year stint in Ocala, Florida, a hub for equestrian excellence. Now based in Silicon Valley, California, Siobhan enjoys riding her Andalusian mare, Caliente OSF, and her show jumper, Miss January. With her international experience and enduring love for the sport, Siobhan exemplifies the spirit of equestrianism, blending tradition, skill, and adventure.

Cavago is making waves throughout the equestrian world following its recent product launch, where the team released new iterations of its website, customer app and brand-new host app. The company has onboarded many notable ambassadors over the past 12 months, including renowned Olympian Carl Hester and prolific dressage rider and coach Charlie Hutton. Cavago is now looking forward to its debut at the London International Horse Show in December, where the company are title sponsors of two high-profile classes.
