How to add a Riding Lesson

If you offer Riding lessons that you charge by the hour, you can easily add them to your Cavago activity page.

How to Navigate to Your Activity Page?

1. Log In to Your Host Dashboard

   • Access your host dashboard using your credentials.
     
     

2. Go to the Activities Page

   • Click on the "Activities" button located on the left-hand side menu.
     
     

3. Select Hourly Activities

   • By default, the page will open in the Hourly Activities section.

   • If not, select the Hourly tab to start adding your riding lesson.
     
     

Note: A step-by-step guide on the right side of the activity page will assist you in setting up your hourly riding lesson.

How to add a Riding Lesson to Your Activity Page.

Step 1: Add Basic Details

• • Activity Name: Enter a clear name, for what you're offering.
    

  • Activity Category: Select lessons & clinics 
    

1. • Sub-Categories: Select additional relevant sub-categories if applicable (e.g. Private Lessons, Group Lessons).
     

   • Activity Description:

     • • Write what your riding lesson offers in the description.

       • Here is what you can add:

         • Specific techniques or movements covered (e.g., transitions, collection, lateral work, piaffe, passage).

         • Details about the instructor’s qualifications or experience.

         • Information about the riding facilities (e.g., indoor or outdoor).

         • Any details about the horses.

Step 2: Define Riding Levels and Age Limits

• • Riding Ability: Select the suitable riding level for the training Activity:

    • Suitable for all,

    • Beginner,

    • Novice,

    • Intermediate

    • Advanced.

  • Booking Options:

    Choose how customers can book: individually or with a minimum group requirement.

    • • Individual: Select this for single bookings per person with no minimum required.
        

      • Group: Specify the minimum and maximum number of bookings needed to proceed.

  • Age Groups:

    • • Select the suitable age group (All Ages, Adults, Children).

      • Specify minimum and maximum age limits if applicable.

Step 3: Set Pricing

• • Base Price / Person: Enter the cost per person for the hourly lesson.

     

Step 4:  Booking and Availability

• • Booking Method: Choose Subject to Confirmation if bookings require your approval.

• • Activity Duration: Set the lesson duration. e.g. 2 hours, etc

• • Availability Scheduling: Two options are available to choose from.

    • • On an hourly basis: Select this if you offer it during the same time during the week.

      • On specific time slots: Enter the number of available hourly slots (e.g., 1 per hour).
        
        

  • Availability Dates: Set the start and end dates for when the activity is available.

• • Available time slots: Define the daily time slots

    • • Same on all days: Select this option if you offer the lessons at the same hours during the week.

      • Schedule different available slots: Select this option if you offer lessons at different slots depending on the day. 

• • Unavailable Dates (Optional): Block out specific days or custom periods when the lesson is not available. e.g. Saturday, Sunday, etc.

Optional Steps

Weekend & Seasonal Pricing (Optional): If your prices change on the weekends, or depending on the month, you can add those prices here.

Add Activity Add-ons (Optional): Apply existing add-ons or create new ones, such as equipment rentals or additional features.

Prerequisites (Optional): Add any specific requirements from the customer,
e.g. Riders must have prior experience (e.g., basic trot and canter control).

Text Box (Optional): Shown after the location details, you can add a text box to ask a particular question from the customer. E.g. How many years have you been riding for?

Step 5: Configure Location Detail

• • Activity Location: If the lesson takes place at your main facility, check the box for 'This activity is at the same location as my facility'.

  • Address (Optional): Enter a specific address if different from your main location. Select the country and city from the dropdown menus.
    
    

Step 6: Upload Images

Add high-quality images that showcase your lessons, facilities, and horses

Step 7: Save and Review

• • Double-check all the details you’ve entered.

  • Click Save or Publish to make your Hourly Lesson live on your Cavago page.
